The rumor is that there is not going to be a Logic Pro 8. The next pro audio app. from apple will have a new name. People on the net have been labling it the "Protools Killer". Suppose to be a completely new program build new from the ground up, with new eye candy tricks with the help of Core Animation. Supposedly you'll have to have Mac OS 10.5 before you install it.
Also there is a rumor about some new fancy touch screens are coming out that have the same tech. that is in the iphone. The Audio app. and the touch screens are suppose to work well together. Imagine using a screen for a control surface, reaching up with your fingers and moving faders up and down.
