I wasn't going to watch the preliminary rounds of Idol, but we had them DVR'd, and once we started watching, my wife and I were hooked! There were parts that were so funny we couldn't stop laughing, and some of the contestants were actually pretty impressive!
I don't think we'll actually watch the shows live because about half of the programming is commercials. We usually just DVR the show and Fast Forward through the garbage to save time.
I think they have a pretty good talent pool this year, and it should be a pretty good show. I hope they do the "Idol Gives Back" show again this year, because they raised a lot of money last year for some very worthy causes.
