I moved from Western New York to Nashville about four years ago. Before I came down here, I feared that I'd be surrounded by a bunch of tobacco-chewin' rednecks in cowboy boots 'n hats, who listened to nothing but country music 24/7.
To my pleasant surprise, Nashville is on the cutting edge in all genres of music! I thought I probably wouldn't fit in down here with my blues/rock/jazz background, but it appears that thousands of folks just like me have made their homes in Nashville, and have definitely influenced the sounds coming out of this city!
I'm really loving it here, and I feel right at home in what's become a very cosmopolitan city. Nashville just ain't about country any more!
